Hello guys and beauties. I hope everyone is doing well, and getting ready for a great holiday season coming up. I wanted to write a review on the most raved and highly suggested vitamins for hair, skin, and nails. Phytophanere Dietary Supplements available at Sephora for $50. These supplements were part of my huge collective haul in 11/6/11. Phytophanere provides 120 caplets, which is supposed to lasts for two months. Each caplet provides the necessary vitamins,
minerals, and natural oils to nourish skin, strengthen hair, and fortify nails.

I originally bought these supplements for my healthy hair growth, because I transitioned from my relaxed hair routine to natural hair, and I want my hair to be healthy enough to grow.
Since, I am almost done with these supplements, I am proud to say that I actually do like these supplements and will definitely re-purchase them in the future. The pros are these supplements strengthened my hair and kept my scalp smooth from the necessary oils. My skin looked brighter, it also helped clear my acne, and I noticed a decrease of age lines around my face. My nails looked stronger, and clear. I absolutely have no complaints about the functionality of these supplements, and I can see that these supplements actually does it job. It works very well.

The only con I have about these supplements are I did not notice a difference in hair growth. I only noticed the thickness of my hair, but as far as hair length, I did not notice anything. I was disappointed, but I was pretty happy to notice that these supplements helps turn my fine hair, in to thick hair. I wish I could have noticed some change in length, but maybe my hair is still going through the process of getting used to being natural. I am definitely going to give these
supplements more time, and hopefully see a change in length growth of my hair. That is my only con about these supplements.

I like these supplements, and I can see why many people recommend them. They function well, do what they say it does for hair, skin, and nails, and it is definitely worth the $50. I know it is pricey for a bottle of caplets, but trust me; it is very worth trying out. The supplements actually last for 2 months. I suggest drinking plenty of water while taking these supplements, to see a

Deborah's five tips on adding much-needed pop without disappointment are below:

Go all out: If you are in LOVE with the Pantone suggestion, go all out and coat an entire room with walls donning Tangerine Tango. Add a few neutral accents (taupe, brown, khaki or cream) to soften the shade.
Ablaze in the Bedroom: Mix the shade with patterns and basic white to break up the space, add modernity to your personal space and blend with other bright hues such as avocado, saffron or fuchsia.

Subtle themes: If you require subtlety with bright accessories, tie in the color with accent pieces – chairs, abstract décor and toss pillows. The below spaces shows how complimentary the shade is and how it goes well with blue and browns.
Shade simplicity: If more than one Tangerine Tango piece is one too many – use a piece of décor such as coral table accents, throws neatly folded onto couches and chairs or tangerine towels in the bathroom.

I recently started communicating through my blog www.followingdiana.com and I like to be clear and concise, I like to give the idea of what is going on in few words. I also like to speak positively, so topics are about the good things, good life, uplifting and inspiring ideas, beauty, and people that unite them all!

What is the most important lesson you’ve learned about building a brand?

I bear in mind that consumers may not have any previous knowledge of the brand so I always talk about the basics. The WHAT, WHERE, WHO and HOW. Another important thing is that you have to be passionate about the brand and emphasize those aspects you personally like the most. For instance, I like that Freixenet is a family owned winery that has been in business for 150 years. And their winery in California, Gloria Ferrer, was named after a woman honoring all the women that have contributed in making Freixenet the world’s larger sparkling wine producer.

What is the most important lesson life has taught you thus far?

I lost my mother in my early 20s. She was a single mother (something I find impressive) and I was her only child, so it was pretty tough. But, I learned you can create your own life and that is beautiful!

How do you see your career evolving in the near future?

I feel that my career is heading in a good direction and it all is happening in a very organic way. In the future there are a lot of things going on! I will bring the brands closer to the film and music industries as well as the artistic and social scenes. Sounds very appealing!

Customization! Woman are looking for gorgeous natural looking nails even if they have to fake it, so I believe the trend is a higher level of expertise in custom client servicing. Has the success of been overwhelming to you?

You must be extremely flexible because requests for nails usually happen very last minute. Celebrities travel a lot so their schedules change all the time. Time is usually an issue as well, so you must work quickly but impeccably. You also become a pack mule, bringing along everything that you can possibly fit into a super-sized suitcase...because.... you never know! And the one time you try to scale down and leave stuff at home is when you need it most!!

What has been the most challenging aspect of starting the brand?

I have been an education ambassador for CND for close to 10 years. I worked in a salon for 5 of those years. I was very fortunate to be in the right place at the right time. I live 40 minutes outside of NYC, which is where a lot of photo shoots and high profile events happen. The first TV opportunity I received was from CND via Red PR to go do nails for the cast of Saturday Night Live. Unfortunately I couldn’t take off from the salon with so little notice…I was fully booked for the next day, so I had to pass it up. I decided then that I was going to pursue this career. I left the salon 6 weeks later and never looked back. My situation is different than most. I do not have an agent because of time restraints. I juggle education and PR with CND, so my time is limited as my calendar is booked months in advance.

What are your favorite ways to communicate with your customers and what do you plan on trying out in the future?

** I love to interact directly with the people who actually are using our products, so I can't help striking up conversations whenever I am in a position to speak with customers, aestheticians or physicians who have direct experience with Lumixyl or other skincare products. I also get very personally involved in communicating to our customers through our blog www.envymedical.wordpress.com, where I am a regular contributor and read every comment that our customers post. We are working ever closer with those power-bloggers (such as yourself!) who understand beauty, wellness and skin health because they are really at the center of how product knowledge is disseminated. We plan to increase our involvement with social and online media.

What is the most important lesson you’ve learned about building a brand?

** Listen to your customers and then respond to what they say. Lumixyl customers from New York to New Dehli have given very positive feedback about what they are experiencing with the Lumixyl System, but they also said "how do I treat the dark circles under my eyes". We could have said – "use the Lumixyl Topical Brightening Crème", but when we really listened to individual experiences, we understood that there are several separate problems around the eye, and brightening the skin tone would solve one key problem – but just one. That was not enough, because it would then require the customer to apply two or three separate products in an effort to get the result they needed. This lead to developing Lumixyl REVITALEYES, the first and only product that effective addresses swelling, skin dehydration, photo-damage/age spots, and darkening caused by hemosiderin deposits in the tissue around the skin (hemosiderin leaks out of those tiny blood vessels around the eyes and then dries up, leaving iron and other mineral deposits. Those deposits give that familiar blueish darkening under your eyes that make you look tired and fatigued). The result is a break through product that Envy Medical was in a unique position to develop, but may never have happened without listening to our customers, and their skincare professionals.

** That happiness is not a destination, but a method of travel. That method of travel is aided when you lift others along the way and treat their success as being just as important as your own.

** I don’t know that I would have predicted how it has evolved to this point, so I am reluctant to try and define the course from here. I do believe that we are involved in some very exciting work at ENVY Medical. a. The technology we have today is truly groundbreaking. Social networking has really changed the landscape of how we can connect with our customers. a. The first thing is to know your business inside out. Whatever project you are diving into, it is important to know and understand everything about the industry and more importantly about your product and brand message. Be prepared to answer any and every question about what you have developed as well as what sets it apart from the competition.

b. Second, look at it as a long term project. There will be ups and downs, just like anything else. While money can be a great motivator at times, it is more important to believe wholeheartedly in your product(s) and love what you are creating.

c. Lastly, always be on the cutting edge and never get lazy. There will always be new talent out there, so even when your brand is successful, don't discredit those who are just starting out in your business. Smaller brands are sometimes "ones to watch" and may have ideas that could have been yours if you were paying better attention. It is also a great idea to partner with such brands, so look for opportunities to co-brand with others whose message may be in line with yours. This can broaden your customer base and expand your business.

a. Expect the unexpected.

Face to face is my favorite way whenever possible. But since we sell primarily on-line and ship our girls’ apparel all over the country, we like to use email. And, of course, Facebook. That there are people out there who are willing to help in amazing, unexpected ways! I do not think I could have built my brand without the encouragement and help of not only family and friends, but downright strangers who we’ve met along the way and who immediately shared our vision for the label. That you never know what’s around the corner, or what will happen next. Since I have never been “destination” minded, building a brand has been congruent with my preference for the “journey”.

My absolute favorite way to communicate with customers on a regular basis is by telephone. My motto is, “If it takes more than two emails, it’s better to have a conversation.” I like to hear the customer’s voice, and spend a few seconds building a relationship with them, even if it’s just by asking about how business is going or about the weather. Of course, it’s great to be able to meet and talk in person, but with dozens of customers all over the world, that is difficult. I like email for keeping track of information, but nothing takes the place of the phone.

That it’s important to establish a distinct reason for the brand to exist. Yes, the logo has to look good and it has to be easy to remember, but what does the brand actually represent? From a business perspective, email is obviously incredibly time/cost effective. I enjoy one-on-one interaction with my clients to truly understand and meet their gifting needs, but understand that email communication is sometimes easiest for some clients. We've done brochure and postcard mailings to notify clients about new products and specials. Recently, we've been moving more toward social media such as Facebook and Twitter to communicate special sales, discounts and featured products.

Stick to your guns. I received a ton of "feedback", or I should say criticism and opinions, that would have thrown me off. I stuck to my plan, and went with it, and it paid off.

As an image consultant I offer a range of services from wardrobe assessments and closet reorganization to personal shopping. I love to work one-on-one with my clients to provide them style advice but also work virtually helping those that aren't close by. Currently I'm doing more events, this past week I held "Honor Your Style" at Nordstrom Rack, an event that promoted the rollout of their plus size collection along with styling tips for full figured women and mini consultations for their customers.

What is the most important lesson you’ve learned about building a brand?

The most important lessons I've learned about building Honor You are establishing relationships and staying true to what I do and who I am. I think as a business owner sometimes one can get caught up in trying to serve a variety of customers because you feel as if you never want to turn away business; however you also want to avoid mission creep. My motto is - Honor your size, honor your shape, honor you. To that extent I am available to help all women but specialize in fitting fuller figures. It is also important to build strong trusting relationships with my customers. Women often feel vulnerable and exposed when letting new people into their closets. I see women whom I have never met before in their skivvies. Being accepting and nonjudgemental helps women feel more at ease. I essentially become their best friend in the dressing room.

The most important lesson life has taught me thus far is to trust in God and to say Yes. My faith teaches me that God doesn't place before me things I can not handle but rather He gives me the chance to let his grace shine through me. Often times I have gotten caught up in my own fears that I stop moving forward. I now say YES to opportunities that are placed before me and try new things which have led to exciting opportunities and learning experiences.

How do you see your career evolving in the near future?

Truth be told, I have no idea how I see my career evolving. Over the last couple of years I've been places and done things I have never thought possible. I'm stronger now in my faith than I have ever been and because I am open to new experiences I let Got lead me. As far as my business, I would like to be the "go to" person in the industry when people think of styling for a plus size woman; how that unfolds I couldn't begin to imagine. Although I started my business this past March I've since been trained and selected by Stacy London of TLC's What Not to Wear to join her company, Style for Hire; traveled with the Westfield Style Tour; shot an episode for the Sundance Channel's All On the Line with Joe Zee (editor of ELLE Magazine) as well as shot a French documentary on beauty and image; not to mention I was also a part of the bodyheart campaign and have been on air with several media outlets. I could not have foreseen any of those things happening and am excited for what the future holds.

My advice for anyone looking to start their own brand is to do your homework. Research the area that you want to pursue, know your demographics - who are you trying to reach? why are you trying to reach them? what problem can you solve for them? why is it important? The more questions you ask the clearer the answers become. Asking "why" and "how" forces you to think about the way you approach your business. Don't get frustrated when people ask you questions that you think are obvious, it means not only are they interested but they are looking for more answers.

The most challenging aspect of starting Honor You is time. Time needed to build my clientele base. Time to gain expertise in the field. Time for me to manage the business. Brainstorming is great but when you feel you have so many ideas you don't know where to start it can be frustrating.

I was part of a grant that my county received to help individuals start their own business. Lew Tischler was the gentleman who taught the program and since then he has been a great mentor. Since finishing the program I keep him updated to where I am in the business and he always has some insight into how I can look at things from a different perspective broadening the scope of every new opportunity. As far as fashion inspiration, I pull from everywhere - I look at what other businesses are doing that I like even if they're not in fashion and figure out how to translate the concept to my business.

The success to date hasn't been overwhelming so much as I feel like I have to pinch myself every now and then. Even this past week I was in awe that things were moving along so quickly - Thursday was the preview for the show, Friday morning I was on radion, Friday evening All On the Line aired and then Saturday was my event at Nordstrom. It all seemed surreal, now I even have a publicist. I continue to meet extraordinary people who choose to help me in my endeavors and I am thankful.

Our favorite way to connect with our customers are through email. It is a tried and true method that has proven effective even in this day of being bombarded. We also like to use Facebook as our sounding board for customers to ask questions and tell us their experiences.

You know, it's been a long road. What is the saying? Success is a process, not a destination. It hasn't been overwhelming as much because we live and breathe this culture. There are no schedules, it isn't a job where I can leave my work at work.
